Event Recap: Nanayama and Tee Champions at JGTA Bogor

The final round of the 2019 JGTA Bogor Junior Championship hosted by Sentul Highlands Golf Club has come to an end and champions have been crowned. This year’s stop in Bogor, Indonesia will forever be an important chapter in JGTA history.

In the Boy’s Division, Jakarta local Kentaro Nanayama (2021) shot a final-round score of 1-over 73 for a tournament total of 1-under 215, taking home the trophy. This is Nanayama’s first JGTA event, making JGTA history as the first player from Indonesia to win a JGTA tournament.

In the Girl’s Division, Mariel Isabella Tee (2020) of Pasig City, Philippines shot 36-37 for a final round score of 1-over 73 and a tournament total of 6-over 222. With this win, Tee also becomes the first JGTA tournament champion from her country.

The 2018 JGTA Bintan Lagoon Junior Championship presented by Tradewinds Furnishings Singapore tournament champion, Amy Gao (2021), of Shanghai, China took home second place with a final-round score of 2-over 74. In her JGTA debut, Yulin Chen (2021) of Guangzhou, China finished third with a final-round score of 6-over 78.
