Moving Day

The wind picked up tremendously on moving day and players battled to climb the leaderboard. Tomorrow, champions of the JGTA Bogor Junior Championship hosted by Sentul Highlands Golf Club will be crowned.

In the Boy’s Division, Jakarta local Kentaro Nanayama (2021) fired a 2-over-par score of 74 and he sits on a comfortable 8-shot lead heading into the final round. If he wins, he would become the first JGTA champion from Indonesia and would catapult up the Junior Order of Merit Rankings.

Pongsapak Laopakdee (2023) of Rayong, Thailand and Jonathan Xavier Hartono (2022) of Indonesia are tied for second place with two-day totals of 7-over-par 151.

In the Girl’s Division, Mariel Isabella Tee (2020) of Pasig City, Philippines maintained her lead through round two, shooting a score of 6-over-par 78. A win from Tee would mark the first JGTA win from a player hailing from the Philippines.

Irene Wang (2020) of Beijing, China trails Tee by just one stroke after firing 37-37 for a score of 2-over-par 74 and a two-day total of 6-over-par 150.
