JGTA Members Take Home Top-3 Finishes

JGTA members continued to achieve success this week in multiple tournaments across the U.S. Six top-5 finishes were recorded in AJGA events and the FCG International Jr Golf Championship’s leaderboards were painted with JGTA competitors. Here are your JGTA performances of the week

Willy Chen (2022) of Taipei, Taiwan won the Boy’s 13-14 age division at the 11th Annual FCG International Jr Golf Championship at Sycuan Resort – Oak Glen in El Cajon, California after a sudden-death playoff. Chen shot 71-69, for a tournament total of 2-under-par 140.

Next on the JGTA performances of the week, Bhitchayoot Sima-Aree (2019) of Nonthaburi, Thailand finished T2 in the Boy’s 15-18 age division at the 11th Annual FCG International Jr Golf Championship at Sycuan Resort – Oak Glen in El Cajon, California after being bested in a sudden-death playoff. Sima-Aree fired 71-69-69 en route to his T2 finish.

Mariel Isabella Tee (2020) of Pasig City, Philippines took home a second-place finish at the Killington Junior Golf Championship after shooting 71-75-70 for a tournament total of 3-over-par 216. Tee made her JGTA debut at the JGTA Taiwan Junior Championship and finished T8.

Annie Sun (2019) of (Canada) Beijing, China fired a consistent 73-73-72 at the Killington Junior Golf Championship for a T3 finish. This marks Sun’s best AJGA finish to date.

Xuan Luo (2021) of Guangdong, China followed up his victory last week at the Windham Mountain Resort Junior All-Star with a third-place finish at the AJGA Junior at Riverwatch. Luo Shot 70-69-74 for a tournament total of 3-under-par 213.

Yu Wen Lu (2021) of Shanghai, China followed up her victory at the AJGA Junior at Lake Merced with a 3rd place finish at the Ryan Moore Junior Championship. Lu shot 71-69-73 for an even-par tournament total of 213.
