Here's How the Month of June Fared

The summer season is under-way and JGTA Members are at the forefront of the action. Here is how JGTA members fared in our featured June rewind:

AJGA Champions

Kuangyu Chen (2021) of (Australia) Shenzhen, China, YuWen Lu (2021) of Shanghai, China, Camille Boyd (2020) of (USA) Shanghai, China, and Xuan Luo (2021) of Guangdong, China have won AJGA events so far this season.

AJGA PBE Status

Five JGTA Members have earned fully exempt AJGA Status from their AJGA Performances this year. In total, 134 stars have been earned by JGTA members this season.

Qualified for USGA Girls Junior Championship

Jing Wen Lu (2018) of Shanghai, China, Virginie Ding (2020) of Hong Kong, and Yu Wen Lu (2021) of Shanghai, China will be competing at the 70th U.S. Girls’ Junior at Poppy Hills Golf Course in Pebble Beach, California.

JGTA College Commitments

Yuta Tsai (2019) of Taipei, Taiwan has made a verbal commitment to the University of Missouri. Tsai finished 7th in the JGTA Taiwan Junior Championship and T17 on the Junior Order of Merit.

JGTA Spotlight

Kuangyu Chen (2021) of (Australia) Shenzhen, China
Chen finished 2nd at the Daniel Berger Junior Championship earning him fully exempt status. In addition, Chen captured his first AJGA Career win at the KPMG Stacy Lewis Junior All-Star Invitational. With his win, he jumped up 76 spots to #31 on the Rolex AJGA Rankings.

Yu Wen Lu (2021) of Shanghai, China
Lu won the AJGA Junior at Lake Merced by three strokes. This was her third career AJGA Victory. She qualified for the US Girl’s Junior after finishing in 4th place at the USGA Junior Girls Qualifying at Purdue. She has competed in three AJGA Invitationals in 2018 – the KPMG Stacy Lewis Junior All-Star Invitational, the Buick Shanshan Feng Girl’s Invitational, and the Rolex Girl’s Junior Championship.
