AJGA Alumni Competing in The Masters
A tradition unlike any other is upon us and the world’s biggest stage in golf plays host to over 35 AJGA Alumni. Among the list of noteworthy AJGA Alumni making up about 45 percent of the entire Masters field are Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, Yusaku Miyazato, Jordan Spieth, Rickie Fowler, Yuta Ikeda, Bubba Watson, Billy Horschel, Patrick Reed, Kyle Stanley, Gary Woodland, Adam Hadwin, Austin Cook, Patrick Reed, Kyle Stanley, Jimmy Walker, Bryson DeChambeau, Kevin Kisner, and many more.
Tiger Woods takes the tee in group 12 at 10:42 AM EDT alongside Marc Leishman and Tommy Fleetwood. Other featured groups to watch are group Group 16 teeing off at 11:26 AM EDT including an AJGA Alum Trio of Billy Horschel, Chez Reavie, and Cameron Smith. Group 20 taking the tee at 12:10 PM EDT, consisting of Fred Couples, Hoatong Li (the lowest ranked player from China in the Official World Golf Rankings), and AJGA Alum Joaquin Niemann competing as an amateur from Chile.
In addition, Group 23 starting at 12:54 PM EDT, featuring Charl Schwartzel, AJGA Alumn Webb Simpson and 17-year-old Yuxin Lin (2019) of Beijing, China, competing as an amateur. Finally, group 26 taking the tee at 1:27 PM EDT, consisting of an AJGA Alum trio of Phil Mickelson, Rickie Fowler, and Matt Kuchar.
With the return of four-time Masters champion Tiger Woods, the recent win from three-time Masters Champion Phil Mickelson, the dominant spring of two-time Masters winner Bubba Watson and the incredible fall season of two-time Masters runner-up, Justin Rose (lost in a playoff in the 2017 Masters to AJGA Advocate Sergio Garcia), the 80th Masters Tournament is shaping up to be something special.
