JGTA Players in the Forefront

The summer season is in full swing and players from the Junior Golf Tour of Asia are at the forefront of the action. Players from the JGTA are just getting started, many of which have not competed in AJGA events and other events thus far this summer. Over the next few weeks, we are sure to see more and more players from Asia towards the top of leaderboards in high-level junior golf tournaments. Check out some of the best performances from JGTA players thus far below:

Camille Boyd Qualifies for US Girls’ Junior

Camille Boyd (2020) of (USA) Shanghai, China qualified for the US Girls’ Junior at SentryWorld after firing a score of 1-under-par 71 at Corral De Tierra Country Club in Salinas, California. The US Girls’ Junior arguably sports the strongest field of girls in junior golf.

Camille Boyd (2020) of (USA) Shanghai, China is a JGTA champion as well as Junior Order of Merit Champion. She won the first event in JGTA history, the Bintan Lagoon Junior Championship presented by dwell Student Living. She is currently ranked 33rd in the Rolex AJGA Rankings.

Hoi Ki Lau Finishes Runner-Up

Hoi Ki Lau (2022) of Hong Kong, SAR’s first AJGA event of the season, the Mahoning Valley Hospital Foundation Junior All-Star, was her best finish to date in an AJGA event. She shot 70-74-69 to finish T2. Last season, she competed in the event and finished T29 – a huge step up after a great season competing on the JGTA.

Lau finished T4 at the Hong Kong Junior Classic at Clearwater Bay, T5 at The Southern Junior presented by Tradewinds Furnishing, and sixth at the ATI Ciputra Golfpreneur Junior World 2019 presented by AKI. Lau finished 9th on the JGTA Junior Order of Merit, and the AJGA PBE Status that she earned through her final ranking on the JGTA Junior Order of Merit was used to enter the Mahoning Valley Hospital Foundation Junior All-Star.
