Round 2 - JGTA Taiwan Junior Championship

In Round Two of the JGTA Taiwan Junior Championship at NGCC players battled wind, rain, and fog. Jana Ni (2021) of Beijing, China and Natachanok Tunwannarux (2023) of Bangkok, Thailand held on to a share of the lead, both carding scores of four-over-par 76 and two-day totals of 148.

Trailing Ni and Tunwannarux is AJGA Memorial 2017 Champion and University of Washington Golf commit Jingfang Deng, firing a two-over-par 74 today, giving her a two-day total of 149. Chia-Yu Hsieh (2021) of Taipei, Taiwan and Yu-Tien Kuo (2021) of Tainan, Taiwan are in the hunt with two-day totals of 151.

Willy Chen (2022) of Taipei, Taiwan and Chih Yi Huang (2019) of Taoyuan, Taiwan hold a share of the lead in the Boy’s Division with two-day totals of 144 heading into the final round. Chen fired a even-par 72 with two birdies while Huang posted a one-over-par 73 with four birdies.

Junyi Tang (2021) of Beijing, China and round one leader Ting Yu Chen (2019) of Taoyuan, Taiwan are trailing the leader boys by one stroke, firing scores of even-par 72 and two-over-par 74 for two-day totals of 145.

The Final Round of the JGTA Taiwan Junior Championship takes place Friday. Many players are within reach of being crowned champions…who will end up on top?
