Nanayama and Tee Take Over JGTA Bogor

The wind picked up tremendously on moving day and Nanayama and Tee maintained their lead at JGTA Bogor. Tomorrow, champions of JGTA Bogor will be crowned and Nanayama and Tee look to take home the trophies.

In the Boy’s Division, Jakarta local Kentaro Nanayama (2021) fired a 2-over-par score of 74 and he sits on a comfortable 8-shot lead heading into the final round. If he wins, he would become the first JGTA champion from Indonesia and would catapult up the Junior Order of Merit Rankings.

Pongsapak Laopakdee (2023) of Rayong, Thailand and Jonathan Xavier Hartono (2022) of Indonesia are tied for second place with two-day totals of 7-over-par 151.

In the Girl’s Division, Mariel Isabella Tee (2020) of Pasig City, Philippines maintained her lead through round two, shooting a score of 6-over-par 78. A win from Tee would mark the first JGTA win from a player hailing from the Philippines.

Irene Wang (2020) of Beijing, China trails Tee by just one stroke after firing 37-37 for a score of 2-over-par 74 and a two-day total of 6-over-par 150. Wang has competed in every event in JGTA history and looks to chase down her first JGTA victory tomorrow. Amy Gao (2021) of Shanghai, China and Eila Galitsky (2025) of Chiang Mai, Thailand is tied for third heading into the final round.

The final round takes place tomorrow, January 4 and if Nanayama and Tee hang on to win, this will be their first JGTA victories. For the official round two results, click here.
