Amy Gao (2021) and Justin Sun (2022) Crowned Champions
Late changes on the leaderboard of the JGTA Bintan Lagoon Junior Championship presented by Tradewinds Furnishings Singapore kept spectators on their toes as groups holed out their final putts – a true shootout finish. JGTA veterans came out on top and were crowned JGTA Bintan Lagoon Junior Championship presented by Tradewinds Furnishings Singapore winners.
2017-2018 All-Asia Team Honoree Amy Gao (2021) of Shanghai, China fired 38-38 for a final-round score of 4-over-par 76, giving her a tournament total of 229 and her first JGTA victory.
“My putting was very good this week which led to my win. Thank you, Tradewinds Furnishings Singapore, Bintan Lagoon Resort, and JGTA staff for the wonderful experience these last few days.”

Justin Sun (2022) of Shenzhen, China followed up his 1-under par score of 71 with a score of 8-over-par 80, taking the Boy’s Division by one stroke. Like Gao, this is Sun’s first JGTA victory.
“I feel very lucky to have won this event. I followed up my great second-round with a score that was just low enough to win. I wanted to thank my parents and brother for their support as well as Tradewinds Furnishings Singapore, Bintan Lagoon Resort, and all staff that helped out.”
Markus Lam (2023) of Hong Kong shot 38-41 for a final round score of 7-over-par 79 to take second place. Masaki Ujiie (2020) of Guam, USA took home the third-place trophy with a tournament total of 231.
