AJGA PBE Status is On The Line Via the Junior Order of Merit

The JGTA Bintan Lagoon Junior Championship presented by Tradewinds Furnishings Singapore has come to an end and the Junior Order of Merit – the official ranking system of the JGTA and the source for AJGA PBE Status in Asia, has been updated.

The current Girl’s leader and JGTA Bintan Lagoon Junior Championship presented by Tradewinds Furnishings Singapore winner is Amy Gao (2021) of Shanghai, China. In 2017-2018, Gao finished 10th on the rankings and is looking to finish in the top-5 at the end of the season, awarding Fully Exempt AJGA Status.

Eila Galitsky (2025) of Chiang Mai, Thailand currently sits in second and looks to overtake Gao at upcoming JGTA events.

The current Boy’s leader and JGTA Bintan Lagoon Junior Championship presented by Tradewinds Furnishings Singapore winner is Justin Sun (2022) of Shanghai, China. In 2017-2018, Sun finished 23rd in the rankings and his recent victory sets him in the right direction to finish amongst the best in Asia on the Junior Order of Merit this year.

First-time JGTA competitor Markus Lam (2023) of Hong Kong sits in 2nd on the Junior Order of Merit while Masaki Ujiie of Guam, USA is in 3rd.

At the end of the season, players final standing on the Junior Order of Merit determines AJGA PBE Status earned, and the next two events on the JGTA schedule, the JGTA Bogor Junior Championship hosted by Sentul Highlands Golf Club and the JGTA Hong Kong Junior Classic at Clearwater Bay presented by Selina Li, will play an integral role in player’s final rankings.
