Coming soon, junior golf families from 11 countries will travel to Clearwater Bay Golf and Country Club in Hong Kong to compete in the 2019 JGTA Hong Kong Junior Classic at Clearwater Bay, Hong Kong’s first American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) Performance Based Entry (PBE) Event. Hong Kong, where east meets west in a seemingly perfect blend, is full of excitement and entertainment for those who have time to explore off the course at the JGTA Hong Kong Junior Classic at Clearwater Bay. About the JGTA Hong Kong Junior Classic at Clearwater Bay
The Junior Golf Tour of Asia (JGTA) is headed to Clearwater Bay Golf and Country Club in Hong Kong for the city’s first-ever AJGA PBE Status tournament, February 20-22, 2019. The field will feature top-ranked juniors from over 10 countries across the Asia-Pacific and abroad, including multiple AJGA Champions and top-200 players on the Rolex AJGA Rankings. The award-winning Clearwater Bay Golf and Country Club, which opened its doors in 1982, has played host to multiple prestigious events, including what is currently the last stop on the PGA Tour Series China, The Clearwater Bay Open, as well as the Omega PGA Championships and the Asia-Pacific Amateur Championship.
About the Junior Golf Tour of Asia
The Junior Golf Tour of Asia (JGTA) is the sanctioning body for AJGA PBE Status in the Asia-Pacific and governing committee for junior golf tournaments that allow junior golfers to pursue an AJGA and college golf career. The Junior Order of Merit, the official ranking system of the JGTA, is the source for American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) Performance Based Entry (PBE) Status in Asia, giving junior golfers a platform to advance their college golf standing and hone their game in recognized events in the offseason.
The JGTA is dedicated to upholding the mission, values, standards, and principles of the AJGA, in addition to following the rules and policies of the AJGA and its PBE system.
