Travel Guide to The Southern Junior

As one of the most romantic cities in the world, Zhuhai is located at the south of the Tropic of Cancer, Guangdong Province, with a sheltered location on the South Climates with glorious sunshine all year long. The city is a luxurious garden paradise where colorful flowers bloom all year long. Those traveling to Zhuhai for The Southern Junior at Zhuhai Golden Gulf Golf Club are up for a treat.

Zhuhai sets a high standard for JGTA’s second edition of The Southern Junior.

Zhuhai is close enough to Macau for a day trip without any maniacal driving. Never too hot or too frosty, the city is the just-right popular Chinese getaway – especially in summer – with plenty of seaside glitz. Yet it remains laid-back, and what helps it really shine is the natural beauty of its gardens and an attractive, relatively clean port.

Zhuhai sits a mere 187 meters across the water from neighboring Macau. Among the southern Chinese city’s accolades is overtaking Hong Kong in 2014 as The Most Liveable City in China, keeping this title for three straight years.

In 2013, Zhuhai also ranked first among Westerners’ Top Ten Favourite Cities in China, in addition to being named China’s Most Beautiful City. The core of Zhuhai, in the northeastern portion of the administrative division, is part of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area, the biggest built-up area in the world with more than 44,478,513 inhabitants at the 2010 census, encompassing Shenzhen, Dongguan, Foshan, Zhongshan, Macao, Hong Kong, the main part of Guangzhou, and small parts of Jiangmen and Huizhou cities.

By the year 2020, the city has set itself a goal to become an international liveable city with a high standard of living and to display China’s beauty to the world.
