The JGTA values competitive junior golf and believes that the growth of the game and the advancement of the next generation of prominent golfers depend on fair, competitive tournament entry policies and systems including specifiied competitive eligibility criteria. Therefore, only Tour Card holders may apply for and enter JGTA tournaments. Similarly, only JGTA Tour Card holders will be ranked on the Junior Order of Merit, and eligible to earn AJGA PBE Status at the end of the season.


Official Competitive Eligibility Criteria
  • All players must be a member of the American Junior Golf Association (AJGA);
  • All players must hold an active JGTA Tour Card.;
  • Participation in JGTA events is reserved for amateur golfers;
  • The maximum age requirement is 19 years of age;
  • The minimum age requirement is 12 years of age; and
  • Once a player starts college, they are no longer eligible, regardless of age.
