Clearwater Bay Golf and Country Club

The award-winning Clearwater Bay Golf and Country Club, which opened its doors in 1982, has played host to multiple prestigious events, including what is currently the last stop on the PGA Tour Series – China, the Clearwater Bay Open, as well as the Omega PGA Championships and the Asia-Pacific Amateur Championship. Clearwater Bay is one of Hong Kong’s crown jewels of golfing venues and features a Thomson Perrett designed course that promises to stage a highly competitive junior golf competition.

The course has two distinct nines, the ocean nine and highland nine, giving players a diverse playing experience that they are sure to enjoy.

Signatures holes to watch:

Hole #3 – The par 4 3rd hole, the signature hole on the course, has been selected as one of the “500 best holes in the world”. A demanding tee shot over rocks, water, and bunkers leads to a picturesque approach shot directly towards the sea. Choose your clubs wisely.

Hole #7 – The par 4 7th hole is driveable for long hitters and will make for exciting play. Longer hitters can choose to cut the corner over water, risking it all, or can play it safe with a long iron to the right side of the fairway.

Hole #13 – The par 4 13th’s elevated tee leaves Hong Kong and Wan Chai visible on a clear day, and a demanding tee shot over a ravine in front of you. Mid to long irons will be required to reach this undulated green on your approach.

Hole #15 – The par 5 15th is your classic risk-reward hole. After carefully placing your tee shot around a dogleg, players must choose whether to go for the green or lay up to a comfortable yardage.
